FAQ
Is there a charge for the initial consultation?

Initial telephone consultations are free of charge.  The purpose of this consultation is to determine whether or not the potential client has a viable claim and whether the firm has an attorney to handle the claim.

What happens if I have a case that is not within the expertise of the firm?

We make every attempt to refer cases that are not within our expertise to competent attorneys that are in other firms.  We welcome all consultations and are happy to give referrals where indicated.

How do I know if I need an attorney for my claim?

One of the purposes of the initial consultation is to determine whether or not representation would be beneficial to the client.  In that regard it is important for the client to assemble all documentary evidence they have and be able to adequately describe the claim so that the attorney can give the client an informed opinion as to whether or not she or he needs representation.

How much does it cost to hire a lawyer?

We represent clients primarily on a contingent fee basis.  That means the client pays no attorney?s fees unless the client recovers money as a result of our efforts.  The client may, however, be responsible for certain costs such as court filing fees.  We do represent a limited number of clients on an hourly or fixed fee basis.
