- For our clients who have cases in active litigation in Charleston County but which are not yet on the short trial roster, you may check on their status on the general roster by accessing the Charleston County Court Homepage at www3.charlestoncounty.org. Go to the Clerk of Court's civil case search page. Type in your case name and search for its status. The cases remain on the general roster until transferred to the trial roster. (Once put onto the trial roster, the cases generally will be tried in one to three months, although this time period often varies.) You may call 843-740-5712 and hear a recorded list of the cases on the trial roster subject to trial each week. Cases in the federal courts, masters' courts, probate courts, magistrates' courts, and small-claims court are frequently set for trial on specific days set forth by the judge assigned to the case. Of course, at any time you may call the attorney handling your case.
