Katherine Floyd is an associate in the firm’s litigation department. During her time as an undergraduate Ms. Floyd had the opportunity to clerk for Congresswoman Karen Thurman in her Washington, DC office. Ms. Floyd went on to work at a publishing company for several years before attending the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

While in law school, Ms. Floyd distinguished herself by being named to the Dean’s List, receiving a Book Award for her Trial Practice skills and clerking for the Honorable Jonathan Ohlman. Upon graduation, Ms. Floyd accepted an associate attorney position with a state-wide defense firm in Jacksonville. At her prior firm Ms. Floyd represented insurance carriers, employers and small business owners defending Workers' Compensation and liability claims before returning to her hometown to join Salter Feiber.

Ms. Floyd maintains an active litigation practice where she focuses on commercial and civil litigation, landlord/tenant law, contract disputes, real property litigation, and public housing issues. She is admitted to practice before all Florida State Courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida.

Ms. Floyd is active in the local legal community and participates in the Gerald T. Bennett Inn of Court focusing on the use of technology in the legal practice and serves as a mentor to law students at the University of Florida. She is also a member of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association.
