Appellate Practice

We have represented numerous clients in federal courts of appeal.  We have found that practicing at both the trial and appellate level makes us better lawyers at each level of the case.  We are members of the bars of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit (St. Louis, Missouri) and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit (Chicago, Illinois).  We have prepared and filed appellate briefs and orally argued before both of these courts.  We have successfully represented clients on the direct appeal of their federal criminal convictions and sentences, and in post-conviction proceedings (state and federal prisoners).  In addition, we have represented clients on the direct appeal of the revocation of their federal supervised release and probation.  Our experience also includes successfully representing clients on civil appeals in federal court.  Given our extensive federal appellate experience, we have the experience not only to prepare your written appellate brief but also to argue your case orally before the court.
