Michel Simer is Of Counsel with the Law Office of Emily Horton PLLC. She has been with the firm since graduating from law school in May 2007. Michel passed the bar and became licensed in November 2007 to practice law in Texas.
During law school, Ms. Simer was President of the OCU Family Law Organization, Treasurer of the Texas Legal Society and Agricultural Law Society, and was an OCU Student Bar Association representative for all three organizations. Ms. Simer was awarded the OCU Outstanding Pro Bono Student Award 2004-05 and made the OCU Dean's List her last two years of law school. She was also a Licensed Legal Intern for the Oklahoma County District Attorney Juvenile Office in the Spring of 2006 and a Licensed Legal Intern for the Oklahoma County Public Defender Juvenile Office in the Spring of 2007.
Ms. Simer received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science form Texas A&M University in 1997 and her Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University in 2007.
Michel lives on a small farm north of Waco where she enjoys spending time outdoors tending to various animals. She also enjoys weekend trips to College Station for Texas A&M football and basketball games.
