biography: She interned in the web department of D Magazine and worked as an investigative reporter at the Dallas Observer prior to law school. While in law school, Cecilia spent a summer studying Intellectual Property Law at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China and also studied Business Law at Hong Kong University in Hong Kong, China, where she interned as a law clerk for an American law firm in Hong Kong working in business development, cross-border joint ventures, and IP rights. Throughout her academic and professional career, Cecilia has been a member of various Asian-Pacific interest groups that provide both professional and social networking opportunities to facilitate Asian American awareness, culture, and heritage. Currently, she is a member of National Asian-Pacific American Bar Association, a national association of attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students that advocates for the legal needs and interests of the Asian-Pacific American community.
