The Law Offices of Kimberly A. Elkjer is a sole proprietorship that was formed in 1997 and presently employs one associate, two paralegals and a variety of support staff. Ms. Elkjer previously practiced with the Dallas law firm of Hughes & Luce, L.L.P. Ms. Elkjer has extensive experience in the representation of large and mid-size corporate clients. She has represented oil companies, banks, corporations, manufacturers and distributors. She has represented business clients in complex commercial litigation matters, including patent litigation, trade secret litigation, personal injury, toxic torts, contract disputes and oil and gas matters. She has tried cases to a jury verdict and has argued appeals.

 

Ms. Elkjer is licensed to practice in the State of Texas, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, and the Dallas Young Lawyers Association.

Ms. Elkjer received her undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of North Texas in 1988 and law degree, cum laude, from Baylor University in 1991. While in law school, among other things, Ms. Elkjer was a finalist in the Dawson & Sodd Moot Court Competition, a member of the Order of the Barristers and a member of the Phi Delta Phi Fraternity.
