Tractor Trailer Litigation:  We represent victims of tractor trailer accidents.  Tractor trailer cases can be complicated, and it is important to understand how the trucking industry works.  It is important to retain an attorney quickly before records (such as truckers' logs) are discarded.  It is important to consider the regulations that govern interstate trucking, and determine when those regulations have been violated.  Drowsy or impaired drivers, often forced by their employers to take unnecessary risks, cause great damage.  When a tractor trailer collides with a passenger vehicle, the risk to the occupants of the car is high.

Motor vehicle accidents:  The changes in tort law brought on by the Civil Justice Reform Act of 2003, the so-called "tort reform" legislation passed by the Arkansas Legislature will make it harder to prove your case and fully recover for your injuries.  We have analyzed the provisions of the "tort reform" enacted in 2003.  Early investigation is essential to gather the evidence against all parties who may share liability for your damages.  Further, we are prepared to challenge those parts of the Civil Justice Reform Act that we believe contravene the Arkansas Constitution.

Employment Discrimination:  It is a disgrace to have to recognize that even in the 21st Century many workers are faced with discrimination on the basis of age, sex, religion, race, or national origin.  That discrimination is against the law.  Most employers follow the law, but there are a few which do not.  Even those few employers generally are careful not to admit discriminatory intent.  Careful examination of the evidence may be required.

Laser Eye Surgery Adverse Results:  Most physicians who perform laser eye surgery do so with more care and professionalism than you might expect.   There are some, however, who see laser eye surgery as a money-making mill rather than as a learned healing profession.  Fortunately their numbers are shrinking, but there are still a few laser eye surgeons who cut corners.  Those surgeons may fail to carefully evaluate whether you are a candidate for surgery, fail to inform you of the risks, or fail to follow up properly.  Laser eye surgery is not appropriate for everyone.  There is a  risk that after the surgery your best correctable vision will be less than it is before the surgery.  Some victims have even lost useful sight in an eye.

Modern eye surgery lasers are approved by the Food and Drug Administration.  http://www.fda.gov.  Most of those lasers are approved on the condition that the physician will provide an approved patient information booklet to patients.  Reputable doctors will make sure the patient has all the information in those booklets before performing the surgery.  No surgery is risk free, and it is essential that patients understand the risk.
