Our practice focuses in two primary, overlapping areas: business law and estate planning.
Our business law practice involves providing legal services in a broad range of matters, including organizing corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships; negotiating and documenting real estate lease, option, or purchase transactions; structuring and documenting transactions involving the financing or purchase and sale of businesses; and structuring buy-sell agreements between the holders of closely-held businesses.
Our estate planning practice involves providing legal services in a planning context and in after-death situations. Our planning services focus on estate and income tax minimization, asset protection, wealth transfer techniques, and the transition of family-owned businesses. We prepare the wills, trusts, and other documents needed to implement comprehensive estate plans for our clients. We also assist in planning for distributions of individual retirement accounts and other retirement benefits. Our post-mortem services includes probate and trust administration, preparation of estate tax returns, and counseling fiduciaries and beneficiaries.
Many of our clients are the owners of family and closely-owned businesses. We also typically serve as general outside counsel to the businesses they own. Our clients also include professionals and retired individuals. We enjoy close, long-term working relationships with our clients. We work hard to maintain a level of service that gives personal attention to each of our clients in serving their legal needs.
Our business and estate legal services are provided by five attorneys, Brian Durrell, Ann Bruner, Natasha Summit, Cole Lindemann, Christy Lee and legal assistants, Rochelle Norton and Alisha Ellis. Our legal professionals are supported by legal secretary, Susan Beach. Information technology is managed by IS Administrator, Kathleen Lawyer.
