As lead counsel in more than a hundred jury trials, Mr. West has actively engaged in the practice of criminal defense for over twenty years. He has tried high profile murder cases in Orange, Seminole and Volusia Counties and is a frequent speaker at criminal defense seminars. He has represented police officers, doctors, CEO's, lawyers and hundreds of other individuals from all walks of life accused of criminal conduct. He was selected with only five other Florida lawyers to handle a series of federal death penalty cases in Puerto Rico.

Mr. West recognizes that one doesn't have to be accused of a serious offense for it to have serious consequences. As more and more behavior becomes criminalized and more derogatory labels and civil disabilities flow from criminal prosecutions, vigilance and zealous representation has never been more important.
