Professional Experience

PRIVATE PRACTICE - General Practice with a concentration in Civil and Criminal litigation.  I have experience in both commercial and tort litigation.  As one of the counselors for the Women's Business Development Center, I am involved with various legal needs of Women Business Owners.  My practice is involved in both State and Federal Court.  I am a member of the Federal Defender Panel.  I am also chair-qualified as an arbitrator for the Cook County Mandatory Arbitraton program.  I have been certified as a Woman-Owned Business by the WBDC, the City of Chicago Cook County and the CTA.  My contractor number with the Illinois Department of Human Rights is 47121-00-9.I have a contract with the Ill.Dept.of Professional Regulation as an Administrative Law Judge.

GENERAL COUNSEL, Illinois Department of Financial Institutions - represent the Department in administra-tive hearings; serve as legal advisor to the Director, Assistant Director and Department Supervisors; liaison with Attorney General's Office; help in the drafting of proposed bills, amendments, resolutions, procedures and rule and regulations.
(January, 1985 through September, 1986).
(October, 1986 through April, 1987 - Part-time basis).

Appeals Division - writing and arguing Felony and Misdemeanor appeals;
