It should also be noted that although the majority of the above cases were settled prior to trial that virtually all of them were settled after years of litigation and after all discovery had been completed. In other words, they were settled - on the courthouse steps - prospective clients should not view the term pretrial settlement as any indicator that the cases will be settled easily or without a difficult fight, because that is not the case.
