Since graduating first in his law school class in 1971, David T. Lopez has been actively engaged in litigation in state and federal courts, including civil rights, labor and employment, commercial, investment and securities matters. He is a frequent speaker at national and international professional seminars, and he received from the Texas Bar Foundation the Ronald D. Secrest Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award for 2007. Since 1995, he also has been active in negotiation, mediation, and arbitration at the local, national and international levels, and he is on national and international panels of neutrals. Lopez is fluent in Spanish and has traveled widely in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.
