On December 2, 2002,  The Law Offices of Daniel Harris, Jenkins & Mulligan, Edelman, Combs, Latturner & Goodwin LLC, and The Nygaard Law Firm filed a private attorney general action against Cross Country Bank and its collections affiliate, Applied Card Systems in the Superior Court of The State of California, County of San Francisco on behalf of Clark Latterell and similarly situated consumers.  The suit alleges that defendants improperly threaten and harass customers and their friends, relatives, employers, and acquaintances in violation of the Unfair Competition Act and Section 17200 of the California Business and Professions Code.
