Rex Casterline is a seasoned real estate lawyer serving residential and commercial clients, as well as builders and developers. Prior to joining Rogers Townsend & Thomas, PC, Rex was an original founding partner of Harvey, Casterline & Vallini, LLP and represented thousands of purchasers, sellers and lenders. Rex's individual client services include contract negotiation, preparation or review; preparation of loan-related documents; business counseling; real estate litigation; and simple estate planning. Rex is actively involved in various real estate industry organizations, and was recently appointed by the Governor to serve on the South Carolina Real Estate Appraisers Board.

Rex has spoken at various continuing education seminars for lawyers, title insurance agents, lenders and real estate professionals on various issues relating to real estate purchases and sales, homeowners' association law, lien enforcement, title issue resolution, foreclosures, tax sales, "short sales", and alternative (non-traditional) financing options. Rex is also licensed by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation to teach continuing education classes to real estate professionals. Rex remains passionate about speaking and leading workshops on youth group leadership and issues relating to children.
