After 5-1/2 years as a prosecutor who tried over 70 jury trials involving basic misdemeanors up to sex offenses and murder, Cynthia elected to open her own practice focusing in the areas of adult and juvenile criminal defense. The Law Office of Cynthia L. Porter was established in 1999. In December 2000, Cynthia became Board Certified-Criminal Law-Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Since 1999, Cynthia has found great satisfaction in representing adults and children accused of criminal offenses. Because each case is unique, all cases are personally handled by Cynthia. This allows her to tailor her representation to the individual needs of each case. Respect and dignity are overriding themes in her legal practice. Cynthia doesn't represent 'criminals', she represents people who have been falsely accused and/or those who have made poor choices. | |
