Paul O. Clay, Jr. graduated from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 1976 and began practice in Bluefield, WV . His first four years of practice were primarily in insurance defense and real estate with two years service as United States Bankruptcy Trustee.

In 1981 Mr. Clay moved to Fayette County where he has engaged in practice primarily in the areas of business, real estate and personal injury law, and continues to practice today with his experienced staff.

In over thirtytwo years of practice, Mr. Clay has handled numerous substantial business transactions in the coal and tourist industries, and has tried cases involving many different areas of law.  His practice covers the surrounding counties, including Raleigh, Nicholas, and Fayette, in both state and federal courts.
