Firm Overview
The Firm is the successor to White & Martin that was founded in 1950 by the late State Senator Dan F. White and Richard L. Martin as a general practice law firm. Senator White died in 1970. Mr. Martin retired in 1984. Charles Karr joined the Firm in 1979 after having served three terms as the elected Prosecuting Attorney for the Twelfth Judicial District. Former United States Attorney W. Asa Hutchinson became a member of the Firm in 1986. Mr. Hutchinson withdrew from the Firm at the end of 1996 after his election to the United States Congress from Arkansas' Third Congressional District. Shane Roughley has been an associate of the Firm since 1996. Traditionally, members of the Firm have been actively involved in political, governmental, and community affairs. The Firm is listed in Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
