·        *Nationals of these countries must have machine-readable passports (MRP) since October 1, 2003 (since May 2003 for Belgians).  MRPs will be required for the balance of the countries by October 26, 2004 unless the government extends the deadline. The US government is now negotiating with these countries to include biometrics in passports.
