I. EMPLOYMENT BASED IMMIGRATION

1. Extraordinary ability aliens in sciences, arts, education, business or athletics
2. Outstanding researchers or professors
3. Multinational executives and managers
B. "Second Preference":
1. Members of the professions holding advanced degrees
2. Persons of exceptional ability in the sciences, arts or business who substantially benefit the US
C. "Third Preference":
1. Skilled workers (with two years or more experience) and professionals (with at least a bachelors degree)
2. Unskilled workers (less than two years experience)
D. "Fourth Preference":
Certain "Special" Immigrants (certain religious workers, dependent juveniles, Panama Canal Zone employees, certain international organization employees and dependents, certain employees of US businesses and the US mission in Hong Kong, certain foreign medical graduates, certain members of the US Armed Forces, and certain former diplomats.)
E. "Fifth Preference:" Employment creation investors
II. FAMILY BASED IMMIGRATION:
"IMMEDIATE RELATIVES": Children under 21, spouses and parents of US citizens and certain widow(er)s of US citizens. Immediate relatives are NOT subject to the quota system.
A. "First Preference": Unmarried sons and daughters over 21 of US citizens
B. "Second Preference":
1 . Spouses and children of permanent residents
2. Unmarried sons and daughters of permanent residents
C. "Third Preference": Married sons and daughters of US citizens
D. "Fourth Preference": Brothers and sisters of adult US citizens
