The Law Office of Brian L. Weakland was established in Tampa in June 1992. Attorney Weakland graduated cum laude from The Pennsylvania State University, with a degree in journalism in 1975. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, he served as a law clerk for Honorable Donald E. Ziegler, chief judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, for three years. He then practiced with defense law firms in Pittsburgh, PA, for several years before relocating to Florida to start his solo practice. Coupled with his background as an award-winning journalist and newspaper editor in Pennsylvania, he earned experience in legal writing and research as well as valuable insight into the workings of federal court.
Attorney Weakland is truly a sole practitioner and, as a result, is selective in the cases he chooses. Cases are selected, not only for merit and value, but for their interesting facts, personalities of those involved or unique legal issues. Most cases are handled on a contingent fee basis, with no charge for initial consultation.
Offices are located in Orange Grove Commerce Park, at 2805 West Busch Boulevard, approximately two miles west of I-275 in Carrollwood (North Tampa).
