Mr. Benson has helped clients purchase, sell and operate businesses in many industries including numerous high tech and Internet based companies, an oil company, a fish farm, major construction companies, a landmark Seattle tourism business, a savings and loan association, television and radio stations, an environmental testing laboratory and many others. He advises start up and existing businesses on legal structure and finance.

Mr. Benson also works with business raising capital. Mr. Benson counsels companies and their executives on their federal and state securities law compliance and disclosure obligations and on offensive and defensive take over strategies. He designs executive compensation and stock option plans. He also acts as a special counsel for corporate boards investigating allege internal improperties.

Real Estate

Mr. Benson represents some of the Northwest's most prominent real estate investors in buying, selling, financing and leasing industrial, commercial, office and multi-family properties. Mr. Benson also represents a prominent West Coast hotel management company and handles troubled loans for several national real estate lenders.
