  • Anderson v. Cotherman, et al. United States District Court for the District of Wyoming. Deprivation of Constitutional Rights with Punitive Damages Award. The State Superintendent of Public Instruction forced Mrs. Anderson to resign her secretarial position. Jury trial ended in first punitive damage award against an elected state official.

  • Ellis v. United States, United States District Court for the District of Wyoming. Martha Ellis suffered a severe TMJ injury in an intersection collision with an Air Force vehicle. The case was settled during mediation.

  • Greening v. The State of Wyoming. The jury awarded Leroy Greening compensatory damages for violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act after his job was eliminated in a department force reduction.

  • Houser v. Union Pacific Railroad Company, United States District Court for the District of Wyoming. Jury verdict for injured railroad employee. Mr. Houser injured his low back throwing a switch. The jury found the railroad 100 percent at fault.

  • Kent v. Frontier Refining, District Court, First Judicial District, Laramie County, Wyoming. Wrongful death settlement from refinery accident. Poisonous gas overcame Mr. Kent while he was performing routine maintenance. He left a wife and two sons as survivors.

  • Kissling v. Massey-Ferguson, United States District Court for the District of Wyoming. Wrongful death settlement in products liability action. When the Massey-Ferguson tractor rolled over it crushed Fred Kissling beneath it. A rollover protection system would have saved his life.

  • Meek v. Phillips Petroleum, District Court, Eighth Judicial District, Converse County, Wyoming. Wrongful death settlement in gas field accident. Claud Meek was only 20 years old when he cut into a pipe which was supposed to have been depressurized. Multiple corporation defendants all blamed someone else.

  • Weinschenker v. United States. Delayed diagnosis of breast cancer.
