Find an Asylum Lawyer or Law Firm by State

If you fear persecution in your home country, you may qualify for asylum in the United States. The U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) will consider granting asylum to people who have been persecuted or at risk of being persecuted on the basis of race, religion, nationality, political opinions and/or membership in particular social groups. You must apply for asylum within one year of arriving in the United States. If asylum is granted, you'll receive permanent residency. To increase the likelihood of having your application approved, work with an immigration attorney who has experience representing asylum applicants.
