Anna W. Drake, P.C.

Firm History

Ms. Drake began her practice in 1979 with the firm of Roe & Fowler, a small firm in Salt Lake City that specialized in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases. While at Roe & Fowler, she was involved in the representation of hundreds of debtors. Ms. Drake later left that firm to join the firm of Nielsen & Senior in 1981 where she acted as the firm's first Bankruptcy Section chairperson, representing both creditors and debtors. During that time, she also served as a Chapter 7 panel trustee. In 1987 she had the opportunity to join the firm of Allen Nelson Hardy & Evans and became the chairperson of the newly-organized Bankruptcy Section. During her tenure at Allen Nelson Hardy & Evans, Ms. Drake concentrated on the representation of Chapter 11 debtors and various defunct thrift and loan companies in their bankruptcy matters, and also served as special counsel for the debtor in the TS Industries case.

In an effort to gain further experience in larger cases, Ms. Drake moved to the firm of Fabian & Clendenin in 1992 as a shareholder and member of the Bankruptcy Section of that full-service law firm. She served as co-counsel for the creditors' committee in the Rocky Mountain Helicopters case and had extensive experience in representing trustees or serving as the trustee in other major Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases. She continued her Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 debtor practice while at Fabian & Clendenin and represented many creditors.

During the early part of 1997, Ms. Drake desired to gain more flexibility and began her own practice as Anna W. Drake, P.C. She has continued to represent Chapter 7, 11 and 12 debtors and began a Chapter 13 practice. Her clients have additionally included numerous creditors in Chapter 7, 11, 12 and 13 cases, and she has represented a number of trustees in connection with their administrative duties.
