Pro Bono and Community Involvement
If you are a non-profit organization working to preserve the environment, to provide affordable health care, or to preserve and exhibit arts and crafts, we may be able to assist you with pro bono services (no charge for attorney's fees). Although we are not a large law firm, our firm or our partners have provided pro bono services in the past, as summarized below:
Volunteer Attorneys, Public Counsel Program of the Los Angeles County/Beverly Hills Bar Associations, where we successfully handled the following cases:
Robinson v. Webb. In this lawsuit in the Central Los Angeles courthouse to quiet title to real property and for damages for our elderly client, after a 12-day trial, the jury returned a verdict for our client, quieting title in our client and awarding damages to our client of $52,580 [1982 - 1991].
Sharif v. Wilmington Community Clinic. In this lawsuit against our client, a non-profit medical clinic, for a prescriptive easement, through a court trial in the San Pedro courthouse we defeated the claim for a prescriptive easement and prevailed on our client's claims to quiet title and to recover damages for trespass [2001 - 2004].
Volunteer Attorneys, Sierra Club, where we handled the following cases:
Successful defense of a dog bite lawsuit [1999-2000];
Successful defense of a breach of contract lawsuit arising from a backpacking trip [2001- 2002]).
