Cary R. Alburn III, P.C.

Overview
After 5 years as an Air Force lawyer, I left in 1973 to begin a general practice in Laramie. I prefer to represent ordinary, everyday people in their everyday legal problems. I like to think of myself as a "family lawyer"--my clients can turn to me whenever their legal needs arise, no matter what those needs are. Many of my Laramie clients have stayed with me for nearly as long as I have been in practice, even after I moved to Fort Collins. Many of my earliest Fort Collins clients have remained with me. Many clients have remained friends long after their legal issues were over. I am gratified that many of my clients have been referred to me by other satisfied clients.

I am admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Wyoming and Colorado, the Court of Military Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. I have experience and extra training in many areas of the law, but in Colorado and Wyoming, lawyers are not certified as specialists. Some of the areas that I have experience and extra training in include adoption, administrative, aviation, banking, business/commercial, conservatorships, criminal, education, family, guardianships, human resources, juvenile, personal injury, real estate, wrongful death. I have been a minor courts judge and an arbitrator and mediator.

In addition to my legal experience, I have been a teacher (business law, flight instruction, Sunday school), bank officer, and charter pilot. When I was in school, I worked as a land survey crew member and a law librarian assistant.

As technology has improved, I have tried to keep "high tech current". That has allowed me to provide better and more personalized service, while keeping the fees as reasonable as possible. Quality legal services cannot be "cheap", because like everything else in life, you get what you pay for. But by taking advantage of modern technology, I have been able to reduce costs that I can control in spite of significant increases in other costs.
