About Our Firm

At the Law Offices of Andrew S. Abramson we continue to increasingly devote a substantial majority of our practice to various aspects of employment law.

EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION & UNFAIR EMPLOYMENT PRACTICESWe represent clients in employment discrimination cases involving age, race, sex, religion, national origin, sexual harassment, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans With Disability Act, the Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Severance Agreements,  and many other federal and state employment based claims.

DISABILITY INSURANCEAnother growing of the law involves disability claims under short term and long term insurance disability policies. As insurance companies increasingly seek to deny meritorious claims, we have developed expertise in (1) the federal ERISA statute which applies when employees secure disability insurance through employers and (2) bad faith insurance practices under Pennsylvania state law.

PENSION CLAIMS: Simply stated, claims for pension benefits are complicated and the federal ERISA law which applies to these claims requires special expertise. We have significant experience in successfully clients in disputes over pension benefits.

COMPLEX LITIGATION:  We also continue to represent individuals who sustain serious personal injuries and closely held businesses in commercial disputes. In representing individuals we handle product liability claims and other serious injury claims. We represent businesses who have been damaged as plaintiffs and also defend these clients in various types of litigation. In frequently handling complex litigation we have developed excellent working relationships with extremely well qualified expert witnesses throughout the United States.
