The firm of Schroeter, Goldmark & Bender was founded by Leonard Schroeter (retired). After working for Thurgood Marshall and the NAACP following his graduation from law school, he moved to Seattle and private practice. He was later joined by Dean Bender (deceased) and John Goldmark (deceased). Since it's inception the focus of the firm has been on plaintiff personal injury and civil rights work. Over the years the firm's practice areas have been expanded to product liability, medical malpractice, environmental law, employment and labor law, social security disability, sexual abuse, and criminal defense.
