(Main Office) Danielson Harrigan Leyh & Tollefson, LLP was formed in 1986 by senior litigation partners from a large Seattle firm. The firm practices with an emphasis upon commercial, construction, environmental, intellectual property, maritime and aviation dispute resolution. The commercial and construction litigation practice is organized as the equivalent of a litigation department in a larger firm and has the capacity and experience to handle the full range of commercial cases, from complex, document-intensive litigation through simple contract disputes. The firm has acted as counsel for owners, designers or contractors in many of the largest construction cases in the Pacific Northwest in recent years, has been chosen as litigation counsel for some of the area's largest law firms, has acted as outside counsel for local government in construction, airport noise, condemnation, and major league sports franchise matters and has handled a broad range of environmental, insurance coverage, intellectual property, real estate, finance, securities and bank litigation and major dissolution actions, including one of the largest ever filed. The maritime and aviation litigation practice has the same general organization and capabilities as the commercial and construction practice. The firm has represented a broad spectrum of interests, including owners and operators, ports and airports, repair facilities of all descriptions, and product manufacturers. It also regularly represents insurers with respect to their insured's liability exposures, subrogated interests after a loss, and with regard to the specialized issues of coverage presented by maritime and aviation insurance. Members of the firm have served as arbitrators, mediators, and special masters in a broad range of matters. The firm's approach to litigation emphasizes rapid action and efficiency, both of which are facilitated by the firm's size, and a focused effort to bring its experience in alternate dispute resolution to bear as early as possible in appropriate cases to minimize the cost and disruption of achieving a favorable outcome.
