William J. "Jay" Flynn, Jr. (Member) admitted to bar, 1980, Washington. Education: University of Puget Sound (B.A., 1976; J.D., 1979). Jay Flynn's sincere compassion for people is evident from the moment you meet him. For 26 years, Jay has successfully represented injured people in the Tri-Cities area, and he has won many successful verdicts and settlements for his clients. His efforts on behalf of those clients were acknowledged when, in 2001, the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association recognized him as the Trial Attorney of the Year for the State of Washington. In the years that the Award has been given, Jay is the only attorney from Southeastern Washington to receive it, and one of only four attorneys in all of Eastern Washington to ever be so honored. Jay was selected as a Washington "Super Lawyer" by Washington Law and Politics Magazine in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009. The "Super Lawyer" designation is based on a survey of approximately 16,000 active lawyers from across the state of Washington. Only the top five percent of Washington attorneys are chosen by their peers as "Super Lawyers". In addition to his busy case load, Jay has presented at numerous Washington State continuing legal education seminars on the topic of trials and currently serves on the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association Board of Governors. Member: Benton Franklin County and Washington State Bar Associations. Reported Cases: Schneider v. Strifert, 77 Wn. App. 58 (1995). Practice Areas: Plaintiffs Personal Injury(100%).Email: William J. Kristina L. J. McKennon (Member) born Richland, Washington, 1979; admitted to bar, 2005, Washington. Education: Washington State University (B.A., Political Science/Pre-Law, magna cum laude, 2001); University of Idaho College of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 2005). A personal injury attorney for the next generation, Kristi began working at the firm in 2005 as an associate and in 2008 became a partner. Her understanding of multimedia technology makes your personal injury case come alive for the jury. Kristi was born and raised in the Tri-Cities and, other than her years in college and law school, this is the only place she has ever called home. Raised in a family with strong union ties as the daughter of a Local Union 598 steamfitter, Kristi has a clear appreciation for hard work, a passion for fighting for your cause and a desire to level the playing for the injured. A true young trial lawyer, Kristi tried numerous cases as a prosecutor and has obtained large jury verdicts as a civil personal injury attorney. To date, Kristi has tried and/or assisted in eleven jury trials through verdict in Benton County. Believing firmly in the rights of individuals and the injured, Kristi finds political involvement is the key. In 2004, she was selected as her county's delegate to the Washington State Democrats convention in Tacoma. While working her way through undergraduate and law school, Kristi participated in the management of several judicial campaigns and was on the Board of the Washington American Civil Liberties Union. She is active in the Washington State Association for Justice where she has severed on the New Member Committee, Public Affairs Committee and has chaired the Tri-City Roundtable. In 2009, the Washington State Association chose her as the "New Member of the Year" for Justice. Krist is the only lawyer in Eastern Washington to ever receive this award.
