(Main Office) Vellines, Cobbs, Goodwin & Glass, is a full-service law firm located on Court Square in historic downtown Staunton in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The firm has served the needs of clients for almost 30 years. Each of the firm's attorneys emphasizes one or more practice areas of law. The firm's lawyers have well established and extensive practice in residential and commercial real estate, civil litigation, corporate and business law, family law, wills, trust and estates, criminal and traffic law, general business matters and mediation/alternative dispute resolution. Our practice is regional, extending throughout the mid-Shenandoah Valley, including Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta County, Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, Lexington and Rockbridge County, Highland and Bath Counties, and Charlottesville and Albemarle County and beyond. After five years of practice in Staunton, in 1978, Wilson F. "Wick" Vellines, Jr., Cabell F. Cobbs and W. Chapman "Chap" Goodwin created the firm as it is presently configured. K. Wayne Glass joined the firm in 1984, after having served 10 years as Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for the City of Staunton. Cabell F. Cobbs retired from the firm in 2002 at his death. The firm expanded its practice with the addition of James B. Glick in 1998. The firm expanded once again with the addition of Angela V. "Angie" Whitesell, who joined the firm on January 1, 2007. Angie practiced for five years in Northern Virginia and over 13 years in Staunton before joining the firm. We at Vellines, Cobbs, Goodwin & Glass, do believe that our reputation matters.
