    • Represented hospital system, physician practice groups, primary-care clinic, and long-term care clients in government investigations and/or litigation, including responding to extensive government subpoenas and civil investigative demands and assisted with internal investigations necessary for FCA and TMFPA risk assessment.

    • Represented client in multiyear FCA and TMFPA case involving the United States.

    • Secured dismissals of Texas Medical Board complaints for a variety of physicians, including those in nontraditional practices.

    • Represented hospitals and long-term care clients in dozens of medical malpractice cases before and since Texas tort reform, including "second-chair" assistance in large risk cases such as action seeking $30 million for severely brain-damaged adult as a result of developing hyponatremia while hospitalized. Settled for lower, confidential amount.

    • Obtained summary judgment and sanctions against opposition in Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) action seeking $4.5 million in damages from 10 defendants.

    • Represented pharmacist in RICO action filed by insurance company seeking in excess of $2 million in damages. Settled through substituted counsel for confidential amount.

    • Litigated and settled several construction litigation cases for residential and commercial property owners, providing insurance coverage analysis integral to resolution.

    • Assisted in litigation of multiple product liability cases for large tire manufacturer, including rollover accident injuring five passengers. Plaintiffs sought in excess of $1 million in damages and case settled for lower, confidential amount. Another matter involved rollover accident injuring several passengers and killing one. Plaintiffs sought in excess of $2 million in damages and case settled for lower, confidential amount.

    • Assisted in securing defense verdicts in multiple jury trials, including defamation action against television station filed by business owner; wrongful death action involving cervical spine surgery and plaintiffs seeking $2.5 million in damages; and a wrongful death action alleging substandard treatment of a patient with a bleeding disorder and plaintiffs sought $4 million in damages.
