Ellery Grey (Associate) born Huron, South Dakota, 1978; admitted to bar, 2004, South Dakota; 2005, U.S. District Court, District of South Dakota. Education: Black Hills State College (B.S., 2001); Baylor University School of Law (J.D., 2004). After graduating from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota, where he was duly elected and served as the senior senator, Mr. Gray attended Baylor Law School and participated in a rigorous education revolving around trial techniques and complex legal issues. Mr. Gray was awarded the Order of the Barrister. After graduation he was employed at the Pennington County Public Defenders Office, and thereafter took a position with Rensch Law where he has been busy trying cases, civil and criminal, and handling appeals. John S. Rusch (Associate) born Stevens Point, Wisconsin, 1970; admitted to bar, 1997, South Dakota; 1998, Iowa and U.S. District Court, Northern District of Iowa. Education: University of Wisconsin (1988); Mankato State University (B.A., 1992); University of South Dakota (J.D., 1997). After attending the University of South Dakota School of Law where Mr. Rusch was awarded Order of Barristers, he worked in civil litigation in Sioux City, IA, was thereafter a prosecutor in Sioux City and Milwaukee. Where he tried hundreds of cases for the prosecution. Upon arriving at Rensch Law his practice has involved trials, mediations, appeals, and a busy family law practice, as well as intensive defense and representation of persons charged with crimes during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Mr. Rusch is a license airplane pilot and also practices aviation law and related matters.
