Barry L. Johnson, PA was established in 1996 by Hilton Head Island/Bluffton attorney Barry L. Johnson. Mr. Johnson was previously a principal in the law firms of Biel, Clark & Johnson, PA; Novit, Scarminach & Johnson, PA; and, The Dowling Law Firm, PA. The firm and Mr. Johnson attained Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards.

Mr. Johnson has practiced extensively in the Beaufort County and Jasper County areas since 1971, and has often handled matters elsewhere in South Carolina. Jason W. Ward joined the firm in 2004. Evan K. Bromley joined the firm in 2007. Hutson S. Davis, Jr., joined the firm in 2009. Mr. Davis has over 25 years experience defending medical doctors and other healthcare professionals against medical malpractice claims. The firm also performs commercial and residential closings, refinances, and home equity lines of credit.
