CIVIL, CRIMINAL AND IMMIGRATION LAW

Claudia Grégoire (Associate) born Rouen, France; admitted to bar, 2007, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts. Education: Harvard University (B.A., magna cum laude, 2001); Fordham University School of Law (J.D., 2007). Attorney Gregoire moved from France to Providence RI at a young age. She then attended Providence Public Schools, Lincoln School, and Harvard University. While at Harvard, Ms. Gregoire majored in Social Studies with an emphasis on modern European Social Thought and History. To fulfill her degree, Ms. Gregoire wrote a thesis on American volunteer participation in the Spanish Civil War which earned honors. Before law school, Ms. Gregoire followed her family footsteps and taught high school American History in New York City at Manhattan International High School, a public high school geared to helping immigrants adjust to life in the U.S. During law school at Fordham University School of Law in New York, Ms. Gregoire was a member of the Urban Law Journal and worked as a volunteer at Bronx Legal Services. In the past, Ms. Gregoire has worked at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, Civil Division & the international law firm of Chadbourne & Parke LLP, where she advanced innovative funding for legal services organizations. Since being admitted to practice, Ms. Gregoire has worked closely with the French Consulate of Boston. She keeps strong ties to her native France, enjoys foreign film, reading history and travel.
