In 2004, Clifford E. Haines, Esq., opened Haines & Associates for business. Prior to founding his own practice, he was a member of the Litvin, Blumberg, Matusow & Young law firm for 23 years, representing catastrophically injured people in malpractice and product liability suits. For nine years at the outset of his career, Cliff was an assistant district attorney in Philadelphia, where he was chief of homicide and chief of hiring and training.

A nationally recognized litigator and a leader in the legal community, Cliff is an expert in jury trials, and currently shares his expertise by lecturing at Temple University's Beasley School of Law, teaching and presenting professional development seminars for practicing attorneys. James A. Wells (Partner) born Charleroi, Pennsylvania, April 14, 1969; admitted to bar, 1994, Pennsylvania. Education: University of Pittsburgh (B.S., Chemistry, cum laude, 1991); West Virginia University (J.D., 1994). Mr. Wells graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a degree in Chemistry. He obtained his Law Degree from the West Virginia University College of Law, where he was an Articles Editor for the Law Review and graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif. Mr. Wells began practicing as a trial lawyer in 1994 and has successfully tried cases before juries throughout Pennsylvania. Mr. Wells is active in local, state and national bar associations. He is currently a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates and is Chair of the Local Host Committee for the 2010 National Mock Trial to be held in Philadelphia. He also serves on the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation Board of Directors. Mr. Wells was elected Chair of the PBA Young Lawyers Division in 2004-2005 and served a three year term as a member of the PBA Board of Governors. He is also active in the American Bar Association, having recently been selected as a member of the Leadership Academy for the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section of the ABA. In 2008, Mr. Wells was recognized as a "Lawyer on the Fast Track" by The Legal Intelligencer and Pennsylvania Law Weekly. He was also recognized in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star, a distinction reserved for the best lawyers in Pennsylvania who are either 40 and under or who have been practicing 10 or fewer years. Mr. Wells is dedicated to pro bono work and community service. He regularly provides pro bono legal services as a Child Advocate, representing children in need of legal representation in family court proceedings. As a Team Leader in the Students Run Philly Style Program, Mr. Wells mentors high school students while helping them train for long-distance races. Mr. Wells and his students recently completed the 2008 Philadelphia Marathon. Matthew Fry (Associate) born Lewistown, Pennsylvania, 1982; admitted to bar, 2008, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Education: Temple University (J.D.). The most recent addition to the Haines & Associates litigation team, Mr. Fry graduated in the top 20% of his class at Temple University, James E. Beasley School of Law. Throughout his tenure at Temple Law, Mr. Fry kept busy as a member of Temple Law Review and as a leader in the student government, earning him the Albert M. Cohen Memorial Award for outstanding service to the law school as Vice President of the Student Bar Association. Active in the community, Mr. Fry served on the Board of Directors of GALLOP and as President of the Temple Law chapter of The Greater Philadelphia Outlaw. Mr. Fry was led to pursue a legal career by his passion for promoting human rights. During law school he held internships in the free legal clinic of Equality Advocates Pennsylvania, as well as the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. Prior to law school, Mr. Fry graduated Magna Cum Laude with degrees in Spanish and Communication from Grove City College. His love of travel and his desire to learn foreign languages and cultures motivated Mr. Fry to live abroad in San Jose, Costa Rica and Rome, Italy, and to travel to nine different countries in five years. Patrick C. Campbell, Jr. (Of Counsel) born Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, 1963; admitted to bar, 1988, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Education: Villanova University (B.S., magna cum laude, 1985; J.D., cum laude, 1988). Patrick Campbell is a nationally recognized and highly regarded commercial litigator, union negotiator and organizer. Much of Mr. Campbell's experience has been within the sports industry, representing individuals and unions throughout the business, including different members of the field staff of the PGA Tour. For nine years, Mr. Campbell represented the umpires of Major League Baseball as associate counsel to the MLUA. Mr. Campbell's national practice focuses on sports and labor law, employment law, and contract law. He has successfully organized and obtained certification for two unions the rules officials and the agronomists of the PGA Tour. Mr. Campbell continues to represent these unions in their collective bargaining negotiations, and other labor relations with the Tour. Mr. Campbell has successfully represented employees in labor and employment disputes before the United States Supreme Court, the National Labor Relations Board (NRLB), the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and several district and circuit courts throughout the United States.
