Bastedo Stewart Smith is engaged in all aspects of family law and enjoys a national and international reputation. Over the years we have had the privilege of being at the forefront of developments regarding effective representation for clients in family law cases. Of particular interest to firm members are issues involving the often complex inter-relationship of family, corporate and business structures. Our lawyers have negotiated and litigated numerous such cases relating to shareholder and partnership disputes as well as difficult property, tax and pension questions. Many of our cases involve important interprovincial or international aspects. The firm is an integrated practice in the sense that various firm members participate with the client in resolving particular issues, hence functionally assisting the client in the best way possible, while at the same time delivering appropriate value for services rendered.
