Very knowledgeable, would highly recommend

First, Mr. Stephen Hale is just lazy. If he is appointed as your parent coordinator or GAL, you are in bad hands from the start. Mr. Stephen Hale does not care about the improvement or wellbeing in the lives of children or parents. In fact, Mr. Stephen Hale lacks integrity and only cares about his paycheck. He does not follow through with investigations before sending recommendations and allows parties to using his services unnecessarily. Mr. Stephen Hale’s amount of work is open-ended and he insist on making recommendations so vague so you are forced to come back again and again (more meeting, more money.) Most importantly he failed to report discrimination and abuse. His foul decisions are simply based off his private life, RELATIONSHIPS, desires, work needs, personal values and beliefs.

What an absolute disgrace to the hope of justice and honoring the courts system that he promised to uphold. “The system is broken and has been broken but I’m not going to be able to fix that today.” Direct quote from Mr. Hale himself. What a shameful excuse for a people’s advocate. Sided with the male ex spouse. “Good ol boys club” energy- for sure. Do not put your life in his hands. In any matter of the dense. Does not honor COURT DOCUMENTS. Advocates for the easiest route as long as he gets his two hour retainer guaranteed. Gross negligence.

Mr Hale is acting as my GAL right this minute. I paid him $1500 upfront. He met with me for 5 minutes before my ex-husband showed up to his appointment at the same time. We have a very contentious divorce, and I’ve had protective orders in place. I have sole custody of my kids and one was with me at the meeting in the waiting room. Mr. Hale said we would meet again to discuss matters further when that mishap occurred. He then met at another appointment with my daughter and asked her about brushing her teeth. It was less than five minutes. He asked for a psychiatric evaluation, which I gave him and specifically shows that I am the victim. I am diagnosed with PTSD, have a history of violence and coercive control in my relationship with my ex-husband. He is stalking and harassing us. He then sided with my exhusband in court by submitting a report siding entirely with him without doing any further research. Worst GAL a WOMAN could have , period. Embarrassing to the legal community. Scummy

Today is Wednesday, April 3rd 2024. I am still waiting on a GAL report that was originally requested February 28, 2024. To my knowledge Stephen has only interviewed my child and self. Stephen has not utilized any of the releases I've signed for therapist, school, etc. Stephen was assigned to this case November of 2023. I will not change this review until something happens in my case.

Worst GAL you can have for your children. He will cost you money, time, mental anguish, PTSD, and pit your children against you. He hates women and a therapist for your children is needed before and after having him in your custody battle. He should not be practicing as a GAL. Your children will be ruined and will need therapy for life, including yourself.

This guy was our GAL and was absolutely horrible. Met with the kids once, never responded to concerns regarding the kids, never followed up - simply met the kids and the parents once and made up his mind. He was our GAL and was attached to our case for a couple of years and did absolutely nothing but speak about the single time he met everyone. He also displayed some pretty sexiest behavior towards the mother in this case and played favorites with dad. He only cares about your money - when you think of the scummy attorney type, he's the definition of it.

Mr. Hale has been the GAL for my husbands kids for several years now. My husband has paid Mr. Hale thousands of dollars. Mr.Hale refuses to work in the best interest of the kids. He has allowed continual parental alienation to go on for several years. He hasn't even spoken to the kids since 2013 but continues to charge my husband. He has filed many continuances in court and left EVERYTHING unresolved for several years now! The kids are being mentally/ emotionally. Daily And Hale does nothing
