Firm Profile:
Since its formation, the philosophy of Secrest, Hill & Butler has been to provide exceptional, aggressive and ethical legal representation to its clients in the civil judicial system. There are three principles underlying our philosophy.

First, the firm is committed to providing personalized service to our clients, always keeping them informed as to the status of their cases. Dialogue is constantly promoted between the firm and our clients, focusing upon their personal involvement in the legal process.

Second, we endeavor to perform only truly productive and meaningful discovery. Through such discovery, we seek to bring legal matters to an early resolution if possible, and if not, thoroughly and aggressively prepare them for successful resolution at trial or on appeal.

Third, in representing our clients, we are committed to maintaining the ethical standards of our profession, as officers of the court. This includes providing exceptional legal services at fair and reasonable rates.

Although Secrest, Hill & Butler has historically provided legal counsel to named defendants through assignments from insurance carriers, and continues to do so, the changing insurance climate has resulted in many corporations and companies becoming self-insured. As a result, a growing percentage of our legal services are provided directly to named defendants.
