Biography
Tom is a graduate of Kenyon College (cum laude) and The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law (with honors). He is admitted to practice in Ohio, and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, with over 30 years of experience involving commercial and business litigation, general civil litigation. Tom is a member of the American, Ohio State, and Dayton Bar Associations, an arbitrator in civil construction and insurance disputes with the American Arbitration Association, and a certified mediator for the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio. Tom's other professional memberships include the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, the American Association for Justice, the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, Fellow Litigation Counsel of America, and the American College of Equine Attorneys. He has achieved the highest rating for legal ability in Martindale-Hubbell and is an Ohio Super Lawyer and a Super Lawyer - Business Litigation. Tom's commitment to community service is seen in his many leadership and service activities with organizations such as the Ohio Horsemen's Council (Director), the Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project, Rhythm in Shoes, Inc. (President, Board of Directors), the Kettering Rotary Foundation, the Dayton Children's Hospital, the Dayton Country Club, Inc., and teaching trial practice at the University of Dayton School of Law.
