The Nilles Law Firm dates from the 1920's. When Daniel B. Holt of Holt & Nilles was appointed as a District Court Judge in 1932, the remaining partner, Herbert G. Nilles, together with Lewis H. Oehlert and John J. Nilles, formed the partnership known as Nilles, Oehlert and Nilles. The firm began expanding rapidly in 1949 and was incorporated in 1971 under the name of Nilles, Hansen, Selbo, Magill & Davies, Ltd.
