Paul F. Ebeltoft (Member) admitted to bar, 1977, North Dakota and U.S. District Court, District of North Dakota; 1990, U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit. Paul Ebeltoft has over 30 years of legal experience in North Dakota. He concentrates his practice within the firm's Litigation Solutions Team and by providing litigation alternatives. Paul also works within specialized areas of the Businesses Solutions Team, the Real Estate/Mineral/Environmental Consultants Team and the Organizational Consulting Team. Paul is a highly respected trial lawyer and frequently acts as lead or local counsel in significant litigation for regional and national clients. Also a trained mediator and arbitrator, Paul's background in alternative dispute resolution dates back to its earliest use in North Dakota. He is skilled in customizing mediation techniques to a variety of litigation settings. After 31 years as shareholder and seven years as president and managing partner of a firm where the project of getting bigger seemed to occupy much of the day, Paul opened a new door. In 2009, he joined with four bright, young and very talented lawyers in starting this new law firm where the mission is to combine traditional values, expertise and an intense focus on client needs to yield progressive and sustainable solutions for today's challenges. Randall N. Sickler (Member) admitted to bar, 1989, Colorado and U.S. District Court, District of Colorado; 1993, North Dakota and U.S. District Court, District of North Dakota; U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit. Education: University of North Dakota (B.S., magna cum laude, 1986); University of North Dakota School of Law (J.D., 1989). 2009 marks the 20th year Randall Sickler has been practicing law. He has focused his practice on imaginative business planning and, when the unplanned occurs, is skilled in representing businesses in litigation and alternative resolution techniques. He has a depth of experience in business arbitration, construction litigation, environmental and natural resources lawsuits and contract disputes. He also has a particular interest in creditors' rights, regularly representing mortgage and finance companies, banks and other businesses in the collection of debts. Matthew R. Kolling (Member) admitted to bar, 2001, Minnesota; 2003, North Dakota; 2004, Montana; U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota, U.S. District Court, District of North Dakota and U.S. District Court, District of Montana. Education: University of North Dakota (B.A., History, summa cum laude, 1998); University of Minnesota Law School (J.D., with honors, 2001). Matthew Kolling, a skilled and experienced lawyer, specializes in meeting the unique legal challenges of government bodies, not-for-profit entities, and other organizations. At Ebeltoft Sickler Kolling Lawyers, Matt has the privilege of heading up the Organizational Consultants Team, one of the few North Dakota practices focusing on representation of government entities and not-for-profits. Matt currently serves as city attorney for a number of municipalities in southwestern North Dakota, including Dickinson, Medora, Killdeer, Hettinger, Beach and Regent. Matt also serves as counsel to the Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport Authority and as general counsel to a major health care organization in Dickinson. Matt is also an experienced litigator, having tried a wide variety of cases in North Dakota, Montana and Minnesota. Although Matt's litigation practice is wide-ranging, his particular focus is on representing clients on government contracts and federal claims matters, condemnation and eminent domain work, and employment law. Matt is also active in representing creditors in bankruptcy and other creditors' rights and collection matters. Matt has been in the practice of law for eight years. After a couple of years with a major Minneapolis law firm, Matt had the opportunity to come back home and practice law in Dickinson, and is now pleased to be a part of the new venture of Ebeltoft Sickler Kolling Lawyers. Nathan M. Bouray (Member) admitted to bar, 2005, Nebraska; 2007, North Dakota; U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska. Education: University of Nebraska at Lincoln (B.A., 2002) University of Nebraska College of Law (J.D., 2005). His areas of legal practice focus on real estate, oil and gas, probate, estate planning, and business transactions. With the current increased oil and gas activity in western North Dakota, Nate spends a considerable part of his days assisting clients in all aspects of mineral development. It is an area of particular interest to him, and he has quickly become skilled in advising clients in this specialized practice area. Nate is from a small town on the Nebraska-Kansas border and now calls Dickinson home. He enjoys the sense of community that comes with small towns and spends his spare time volunteering and serving on various committees, including the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce and Dickinson Young Professionals.
