After spending over 5 years learning the art of workers' compensation law in North Carolina as both a Plaintiff's Lawyer and a Lawyer for the Insurance Companies; Jesse Shapiro decided to open his own law practice in the town where he lives. In April of 2006, the doors of the Law Office of Jesse Shapiro opened in Apex, North Carolina. Jesse opened his practice with the idea of focusing on helping injured workers across North Carolina obtain the benefits they are entitled to by using his insurance defense experience to aggressively represent his clients in court and during settlement negotiations.

Jesse is one of a small percentage of North Carolina Attorneys who is Certified as a Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law by the North Carolina State Bar. Jesse represents and protects the rights of injured workers across the state of NC and generally focuses his practice in Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Durham, Fayetteville, Sanford, Southern Pines, Greensboro and surrounding towns and counties (see listing at bottom of this page).

In 2011 Jesse Shapiro was selected as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Magazine and he was recognized by the Workers' Compensation Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice "For extraordinary service rendered to the section and in furtherance of the preservation of justice for injured workers in North Carolina."

Jesse knows how the insurance companies evaluate and defend their claims and he now puts that knowledge to good use by fighting for people who have been hurt on the job and have had their lives turned upside down. Jesse understands how sacred one's job is - a job provides security, food, a home and a sense of self worth and value. People are proud of their jobs. Jesse knows that losing a job, even for a short time, due to an injury can be a devastating loss both physically and emotionally. Losing a job, even for a temporary period is no laughing matter and Jesse fights to make sure that injured workers get the benefits they are entitled to under the law.

    Mr. Shapiro was very professional and always kept me up to date on my case. He was very quick answering my questions and getting results from the insurance companies. It took me weeks to resolve any problems before I retained him. After that, you could count on daily progress. I believe my case ended on the most positive position it could.

    Jesse Shapiro is a great lawyer. If you have a worker's comp claim, I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is very caring and helpful. He is easy to contact for questions or problems. You can speak with him directly and he gets back to you very quickly if you email or leave a message. He is very knowledgable about these types of cases and has a lot of experience on both sides.I trust completely that he has my best interests at heart and that he knows who I am and about my case. He's amazing.

    Law Office of Jesse Shapiro is very respectful. Attorney Shapiro is there for your every need from medical treatment to another treatment sorted through the time of your injury. He will make sure that you are getting the fair treatment deserved throughout your claim/case. If you cannot reach him during normal business hours, his paralegal is there to assist in any way possible. I can say that I am very pleased with my treatment and communication with this law firm with Shapiro and Joanne.
