The law firm commenced its practice in 1952 in White Plains, New York, under the firm name of King Edwards & O'Connor, Esqs. At the time, its focus was in the area of civil litigation from the defense standpoint. Since then, the firm has grown significantly and expanded its focus, although it remains primarily a civil litigation defense firm.
