| Additional Bio Details | James J. Keefe is an attorney with over thirty-four years experience in both criminal and civil trial practice. Formerly Senior Trial Partner at Montfort, Healy, McGuire and Salley, he is a highly respected trial and appellate attorney in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, in the Five Boroughs of New York City, and in Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess Counties.
He is Past President of the Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers' Section of the Nassau and Suffolk Bar Associations, a member of the Executive Committee of the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. He has represented a diverse array of clients, including physicians, nurses, hospitals, police officers, corrections officers, traffic engineers, municipalities, construction site owners and contractors, product manufacturers, premises owners, automobile operators and owners, in varied types of litigation.
He has argued cases successfully in the Appellate Division, First and Second Departments, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the New York Court of Appeals.
