Firm Profile:
McDonough, Murray & Korn, the predecessor to the present firm, was founded in 1969. The major emphasis of the firm work since then has been professional liability defense litigation. In the past, that work was primarily in medical and dental malpractice and other health-related fields. The present firm has expanded its medical defense areas and developed expertise in several other lines of work. These include legal malpractice, automobile, general and premises liability, including failure of security measures, condominium and non-profit association officers' and directors' liability, products liability and Federal Civil Rights litigation brought under the United States Code. We additionally have an admiralty and insurance law practice. Our work in these fields includes cargo recovery, boiler and machinery recovery, ocean and inland marine cargo insurance, personal water craft liability, auto recovery and aviation law. In serving the marine industry we represent underwriters, cargo interests, carriers, indirect carriers, vessel and ferry owners.
