Schatzman Baker (formerly McCarthy and Schatzman), founded by John F. McCarthy, Sr. in 1927, is one of Princeton's oldest law firms. In 1948, John F. McCarthy, Jr. joined the firm and remained a member until January 1, 2006. Richard Schatzman joined the firm in 1967. G. Christopher Baker joined the firm in 1973. Its main office was located on Charlton Street from 1927 to 1985. Two Superior Court judges, the late Theodore Tams and the late Coleman T. Brennan, were with the firm through the 1970's. Former partner, F. Patrick McManimon was sworn in as a Superior Court Judge on January 10, 1992. Former Governor William T. Cahill was a member from 1974 to 1978. John P.
