Matthew Sollitto (Associate) born Chicago, Illinois, 1978; admitted to bar, 2004, Illinois and U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois; 2008, Nevada and U.S. District Court, District of Nevada. Education: Georgetown University (B.A., 2000); University of Notre Dame (J.D., 2004). Matthew Sollitto is an associate attorney at the firm. Prior to joining Shumway Van & Hansen, Chtd., Mr. Sollitto worked in the Business and Real Estate Group at Jones Vargas. Mr. Sollitto has strong knowledge of both the bankruptcy system and litigation aspects of the judicial system. He also has experience in real estate, banking, and finance law. Mr. Sollitto is licensed to practice in both Nevada and Illinois. In 2000, Mr. Sollitto received his Bachelor's degree from Georgetown University, where he was an all-conference performer on the varsity football team. He earned his Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from William S. Boyd School of Law, where he graduated in the top fifteen percent of his class. While at Boyd, David was a member of the Nevada Law Journal and he also received a CALI award for the top grade in Lawyering Process II.
