Max A. Hansen has been practicing law since 1976. After beginning as an associate with another firm, he established his own general practice in 1980. What was essentially a local practice, now counts among its clients, individuals and businesses throughout Montana, Utah, and California. Max is also President and CEO of American Equity Exchange, Inc. one of the first qualified Section 1031 exchange intermediaries in the Rocky Mountain Region. In that capacity he has developed a special expertise in the area of IRC Section 1031 exchanges of property and facilitates exchanges nationwide. Max is also Executive Vice-President and one of the founders of Reverse Exchange Services, Inc., a nationally recognized property exchange entity which structures "reverse" exchanges of property. Mark Anderson, an associate, has been with the firm since January 8, 2007. Mark focuses on business law, real estate law, taxation and estate planning. Dennis Starkel, as an associate, has been with the firm since July 2007. Dennis has been licensed to practice in Washington and Montana since 1979 and received his LLM in taxation in 1980.
